Well-trained clinical site staff are a key factor in ensuring the success of clinical trials and other health research studies. Westat’s dedicated training professionals and project staff work together to provide clinical site and support staff with effective and engaging training to equip them with all the necessary critical knowledge and skills.
All of our training is interactive and high quality, adhering to adult learning principles and supporting performance-based objectives. The results of our training contribute to capacity building in developing countries.
We deliver training in a variety of formats to accommodate geographically dispersed staff. All training courses can be delivered live via instructor-led presentations at investigator meetings. We also can train staff via instructor-led webcast presentations.
Our site monitors routinely provide training to site staff at site initiation visits and throughout the study during regular monitoring visits.
Individual site staff can also access web-based courses on demand through project web sites, Westat’s automated Learning Management System (LMS), or downloaded executable files. Staff members can complete each course from any web-accessible computer at any time, day or night. Individual site staff training activities can also be tracked and reported to client management by using Westat’s LMS.
To complement our extensive training programs, Westat’s project staff often work with our award-winning Graphics Department to design and develop our training materials.
Our technical and project staff are available to answer any questions and assist you with any training assignments.
